How Zencia built MedTalks: an AI medical-English platform preparing Turkey's doctors for global practice
Zencia partnered with MedTalks to build a private, end-to-end platform where doctors and medical students practise clinical English with conversational AI tutors, get scored after every session, learn through courses, and meet live — all run from one admin dashboard.
The challenge
MedTalks, a medical-education company in Turkey, set out to help doctors and students serve patients globally. The barrier wasn't medical knowledge — it was spoken clinical English. Generic chatbots couldn't role-play a real consultation, there was no objective way to measure a learner's progress, and using public video tools meant sensitive clinical and user data leaving their control. MedTalks needed a single, private platform they fully owned — and they brought in Zencia to build it.
The solution
Zencia delivered MedTalks as a complete, self-owned medical-English ecosystem:
- 6 conversational AI tutors — real dialogue agents (not text-to-speech or speech-to-text bots), each specialised: Dr Meddy (general medical English & assessment), Dr Chatty (everyday conversation), Dr Prono (pronunciation), Dr Dentia (dental English), Dr Roley OET (OET-aligned doctor/patient/peer role-play with live coaching), and Dr Emergency (high-pressure clinical scenarios).
- A report after every conversation — an AI analysis grading the learner's CEFR level (A1–C2) across 5 skill sections (e.g. vocabulary range, clinical question formation, patient communication), with a plain-language summary, quoted evidence from the transcript, and targeted next steps. Scores are calibrated against real evidence so feedback stays honest, not inflated.
- An overall English Proficiency Report — baseline vs current level, total sessions, practice time, and a colour-coded progression chart, so every learner sees measurable improvement.
- A private, custom meeting platform — MedTalks' own password-protected video rooms for live classes and cohorts, so data never leaves their environment.
- A course marketplace — learners browse and buy structured courses (DocTALKS, DentTALKS, NurseTALKS, PharmaTALKS), self-paced or as live cohorts, with coupons, enrollment and certificates.
- An admin dashboard + LMS — one control center to manage tutors, users, practice minutes, courses and content.
The outcome
MedTalks now runs a complete medical-English platform under its own brand and full data control: learners practise → get scored → learn → meet live. Doctors and students get unlimited, realistic speaking practice with instant, structured feedback — the foundation they need to qualify (OET) and practise in English-speaking healthcare systems worldwide.
